Defense Contractor, Fairfield, NJ
Primary contractor for developing multiple "Problem Tracking" systems for an
international consortium of defense contractors.   Systems employ multiple forms
of data communication to coordinate information from various sites around the US and
Western Europe.
Systems integrated MS Access distributed databases, Internet eMail, remote application
control and an Internet database web-site.   Also developed
interface between these systems and an existing "Parts Tracking" system in Oracle
running on a UNIX box.

Money Center Bank, New York, NY
Sole contractor in rewriting an Investment Tracking system for the Investment Banking
Division.   The system is required for generation of Federal Reserve reporting
and Y2K compliance.   In addition to tracking the investments,
the system is also used for marketing within the investment banking division - to
identify other deals and bank personnel who may have participated in a deal similar
to one that is being pitched.   Alphatex was the primary developer of the original
DOS based system in 1989.
Also developed a similar Deal Tracking system in 1992 for the Marketing Division
using Visual Basic and Sybase.   However, banking laws at the time require that the
systems not share data.
Tools Included: Access '97, NT Server & Workstation 4.0 (old system:
Clipper Summer '87, Fox Pro, PCL, NetWare 3.12).

Small Brokerage House, Melville, NY
Subcontractor in developing an on-line trading system for select
customers of a small brokerage house.   Primarily responsible for configuring
the web server, it's connectivity to data sources, SSL and integrating a daily
Trade Settlement feed into Sybase database.
Tools Included: SSL, Apache, CGI, VB3, Access, Sybase, ODBC and others.

Large Consumer Products Company, Franklin Lakes, NJ
Developed Sales Force Automation System for national sales force of
highly trained and educated Diabetes Education Specialists.   The system
automated order entry at the remote laptop level, transferred the data electronically,
fed into a central order fulfillment system.
Order fulfillment was reduced four fold from 8 to 2 weeks.   The system met with
such success that it was expand to include the regular Sales Reps.

Large Financial Institution, New York, NY
Developed multiple systems for the Human Resources department of the largest brokerage
house.
Most interesting system involved high level executive compensation. The system was
standalone and resided on a single laptop to insure portability and privacy.  
The system used complicated algorithms to assign credit for corporate revenue by
department and to individuals.   All this was done to allow the board of
directors to divide up a bonus pool for the top 500 (approx.) moneymakers of the firm.
The system integrated data (in batch mode) from IBM DB2 mainframe and Oracle
as well as public competitor data from prior years.
