Systems integrated MS Access distributed databases, Internet eMail, remote application control and an Internet database web-site.   Also developed interface between these systems and an existing "Parts Tracking" system in Oracle running on a UNIX box.

Tools Include: Access v2.0, Access '97 (v8.0), Visual Basic v5.0, Cold Fusion 3.1, NT Server 4.0, IIS, Cold Fusion 3.1, SSL, ActiveX/OCX, HTML, Java, Java Script, ODBC, pcAnywhere v8.0, Oracle 7, Cute FTP.

Money Center Bank, New York, NY

Sole contractor in rewriting an Investment Tracking system for the Investment Banking Division.   The system is required for generation of Federal Reserve reporting and Y2K compliance.   In addition to tracking the investments, the system is also used for marketing within the investment banking division - to identify other deals and bank personnel who may have participated in a deal similar to one that is being pitched.   Alphatex was the primary developer of the original DOS based system in 1989.

Also developed a similar Deal Tracking system in 1992 for the Marketing Division using Visual Basic and Sybase.   However, banking laws at the time require that the systems not share data.

Tools Included: Access '97, NT Server & Workstation 4.0 (old system: Clipper Summer '87, Fox Pro, PCL, NetWare 3.12).

Small Brokerage House, Melville, NY

Subcontractor in developing an on-line trading system for select customers of a small brokerage house.   Primarily responsible for configuring the web server, it's connectivity to data sources, SSL and integrating a daily Trade Settlement feed into Sybase database.

Tools Included: SSL, Apache, CGI, VB3, Access, Sybase, ODBC and others.

Large Consumer Products Company, Franklin Lakes, NJ

Order fulfillment was reduced four fold from 8 to 2 weeks.   The system met with such success that it was expand to include the regular Sales Reps.

Tools Included: Access v2.0 and '97, Visual Basic, AS/400 RPG, ODBC, cc:Mail, Banyan Vines, NT Server, pcAnywhere v2.0 and Lotus Notes

Large Financial Institution, New York, NY

Developed multiple systems for the Human Resources department of the largest brokerage house.

Most interesting system involved high level executive compensation. The system was standalone and resided on a single laptop to insure portability and privacy.   The system used complicated algorithms to assign credit for corporate revenue by department and to individuals.   All this was done to allow the board of directors to divide up a bonus pool for the top 500 (approx.) moneymakers of the firm.

The system integrated data (in batch mode) from IBM DB2 mainframe and Oracle as well as public competitor data from prior years.

Tools Included: VB3, Access v2.0, IBM DB2 Mainframe, Oracle, MS Chart, Word, Excel, xBase, Lotus Notes/cc:Mail.
